Developed under the umbrella of the Biotechnology Industrialists Association (BİYOSAD), founded in 2017, this approach gained institutional status in 2022 with the establishment of BİOSB as a legal entity. Located in Tuzla, Istanbul, the area is being developed in stages through expropriation and infrastructure works in line with a planned development approach. This process is progressing in accordance with long-term industrial policies and public strategies.

Biotechnology Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) positions industrial organizations, research centers, startups, and academic institutions operating in the biotechnology field within the same value chain. Through advanced technology infrastructure and support mechanisms established within the zone, high-standard production and technology development processes are supported, and a strong foundation is created for domestic and international collaborations.

Designed to be internationally competitive, the Biotechnology Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) is structured with an employment-oriented and sustainable industrial approach. Focusing not only on today's needs but also on the future of biotechnology, this structure aims to increase Türkiye's visibility in the field of biotechnology, create lasting capacity in the sector, and contribute to long-term economic value.

The Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone is positioned as a strategic center that accelerates Türkiye's transformation in the field of biotechnology and permanently strengthens its global competitiveness by establishing an integrated structure based on science, industry, and technology.
