TÜRKİYE'S BIOTECHNOLOGY ECOSYSTEM TOOK CENTER STAGE AT BIO INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION 2026

The Türkiye Pavilion, established under the leadership of Biotechnology Valley—the largest biotechnology cluster in Europe and Asia—in collaboration with the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, attracted significant international attention at BIO International Convention 2026, the world's largest biotechnology event, held in San Diego, California, USA. As part of the convention, the Biotechnology Valley Türkiye Pavilion Networking Reception, held together with the 20th Anniversary Reception of the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency, brought together distinguished representatives of the global biotechnology ecosystem. The reception was also attended by Mr. Salim Arda Ermut, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Wealth Fund.

As Türkiye's emerging hub for science, technology, and biotechnology-driven manufacturing, Biotechnology Valley established the Türkiye Pavilion at BIO International Convention 2026, one of the world's most prestigious biotechnology events. Organized in collaboration with the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the pavilion featured leading organizations including VSY Biotechnology, Atabay Pharmaceuticals, and the Boğaziçi University Center for Targeted Therapy Technologies. Throughout the event, Türkiye's biotechnology vision, investment opportunities, manufacturing capabilities, and rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem were presented to an international audience. The pavilion welcomed Deputy President of the Investment and Finance Office Bekir Polat, Chairman of BİYOSAD and BİOSB Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş, members of the Board of Directors, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Dr. Ahmet Süheyl Üçer, and Governor of Tuzla Ümit Hüseyin Güney.

THE TÜRKİYE PAVILION NETWORKING RECEPTION BROUGHT TOGETHER INTERNATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS

As part of BIO International Convention 2026, the Biotechnology Valley Türkiye Pavilion Networking Reception and the 20th Anniversary Reception of the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye were held at the Hall of Nations in San Diego. The reception welcomed Mr. Salim Arda Ermut, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye Wealth Fund; Deputy President of the Investment and Finance Office Bekir Polat; Deputy Governor of Istanbul Dr. Ahmet Süheyl Üçer; Chairman of BİYOSAD and BİOSB Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş; members of the Board of Directors; as well as biotechnology professionals, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry leaders from around the world. The event provided a valuable platform for strengthening international collaborations, expanding strategic partnerships, and showcasing the growing potential of Türkiye's biotechnology ecosystem on the global stage.
