About Us
The Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BIOSB) is a strategic specialized organized industrial zone established in Tuzla, Istanbul, with the aim of strengthening Turkey's production, R&D, and innovation capacity in the field of biotechnology and increasing international competitiveness in the sector.
The Biotechnology Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Health. The main objective of the region is to create an integrated industrial and innovation ecosystem that supports the development of high value-added products and services in the field of biotechnology.
Spanning a total area of 2.7 million square meters and representing an investment of $5.2 billion, BİOSB brings together 160 companies within the same ecosystem, making it one of the largest biotechnology clusters in Asia and Europe. The region is supported by R&D centers, advanced technology development areas, research and innovation centers, testing and calibration laboratories, intellectual property and patent infrastructure, and training facilities aimed at developing qualified human resources. Istanbul's strategic location makes BİOSB a significant center of attraction for national and international collaborations.
The Biotechnology Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) is structured with an approach that prioritizes sustainable production, technological development, and qualified employment in the biotechnology sector. The project anticipates the creation of approximately 20,000 qualified jobs . Through infrastructure and practices planned in line with environmental sustainability principles, the goal is long-term and balanced industrial development.

Our goals
Our primary goal is to increase Türkiye's production, R&D, and export capacity in the field of biotechnology, making it a globally competitive center. By bringing science, technology, and industry together in the same ecosystem, we are building a sustainable and scalable structure that supports high value-added production. Our aim is not only to respond to today's needs but also to become a point of reference that shapes the future of the biotechnology world.

By increasing high value-added production in the biotechnology sector, we aim to make a strong contribution to Türkiye's export capacity. With our production infrastructure integrated into global markets, we aim to reach an export volume of 15 billion dollars, positioning our country more competitive in the international arena.

We are creating an integrated biotechnology ecosystem encompassing all processes from research to production, entrepreneurship to commercialization.
