OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT POLICY

As a Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an integral part of our business. With this awareness, we act in accordance with legal requirements and relevant standards to completely eliminate or minimize any harm that may occur to our employees, third parties, company assets, and the environment in all our areas of activity. We accept and commit to the implementation and enforcement of these principles with the participation of our employees and with the aim of continuous improvement.

As the Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone, we adopt the following principles in our Occupational Health and Safety Policy:

  • We must acknowledge that our most important value is people and human health.

  • We conduct our activities in accordance with all national and international occupational health and safety (OHS) compliance obligations, primarily legal requirements, and we are committed to improving our compliance, continuously enhancing our performance, and maintaining it in the most effective way.

  • To ensure commitment and demonstrate HSE leadership at all levels of our organization,

  • To ensure that all our employees and subcontractor employees have the training, education, and experience appropriate to their job descriptions, to provide these employees with training opportunities that will improve their occupational health and safety awareness, and to create awareness by establishing an occupational health and safety culture.

  • To take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, suppliers, visitors, local residents, and off-site personnel, and to provide and utilize all necessary tools, equipment, materials, personal protective equipment, and other resources when required.

  • Preventing occupational health and safety hazards, providing safe and healthy working environments by reducing risks, and eliminating hazards at their source whenever possible.

  • By operating on the principle of zero workplace accidents and zero occupational diseases, we will take measures to minimize the potentially harmful consequences of accidents or emergencies that may occur during our operations and to prevent deterioration of health.

  • To ensure the development of a workplace safety culture in all our processes and to instill the awareness that the development of a workplace safety culture is the responsibility of all employees, we will ensure the participation of our employees in decision-making processes by taking their opinions and suggestions into account, and we will improve and monitor training and activities every year to ensure that workplace safety is internalized.

  • Developing emergency action plans to take proactive measures against potential emergencies such as fire, earthquake, flood, injury, and epidemic, and monitoring the feasibility of these measures and making necessary updates.

  • By ensuring the investigation and reporting of all accidents and incidents, including near misses, the aim is to prevent similar incidents, injuries, and occupational diseases from occurring.

  • To ensure continuous improvement of our occupational health and safety performance by reviewing all stages of our activities, and to carry out preventive and corrective actions,

  • To achieve successful HSE performance, it is necessary to set quantitative targets, create action plans, and monitor their implementation processes.

  • To base our occupational health and safety (OHS) activities on continuous improvement by ensuring the participation of every level of the organization and our stakeholders.

Implementation of Policy and Related Legislation

This policy has been formulated by concretizing and regulating the rules set forth in the current legislation within the scope of our company's practices. In this context, all relevant regulations, primarily the Occupational Health and Safety Law, will take precedence. In the event of any inconsistency between the current legislation and this policy, the organization acknowledges that the current legislation will prevail.

Entry into force

This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary. The Occupational Health and Safety Directorate is responsible for updating the policy. The policy enters into force on the date of its publication with the approval of the Chairman of the Board.
