Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu: The Biotechnology Valley Will Contribute to the Future of Our Country.

Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu chaired the Entrepreneurial Board Meeting of the Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB), Türkiye's new science and technology hub. Making remarks at the meeting, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu stated, "I am fully confident that the Biotechnology Valley will contribute to the future of our country."

The December session of the Entrepreneurial Board Meetings, held regularly every month at the Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB), Türkiye's new science and technology hub, and focusing on the management, development, and supervision of BİOSB, was chaired by the Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Oruç Baba İnan; the Chairman of the BİOSB and BİYOSAD Board of Directors, Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş; the Deputy Governors of Istanbul, Ahmet Suheyl Üçer and Hasan Gözen; the President of the Turkish Health Institutes, Prof. Dr. Ümit Kervan; the President of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ayar; the Istanbul Provincial Health Director, Assoc. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner; and members of the Entrepreneurial Board. The meeting comprehensively addressed the current status of BİOSB, ongoing projects, and a roadmap that will contribute to Türkiye's strategic goals in the field of biotechnology.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu stated, “Biotechnology is one of the most important fields of our time. As in the rest of the world, research in the field of biotechnology continues in our country. In this sense, I am fully confident that the Biotechnology Valley will contribute to the future of our country. As the Ministry of Health, we will continue to monitor developments in the field of biotechnology and support our Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone.”

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİOSB and BİYOSAD, stated, “As BİOSB, we are building a holistic ecosystem that brings together the public, academia, and private sectors, contributing to Türkiye's strategic goals in the field of biotechnology. At our Entrepreneurial Committee Meeting, held under the leadership of our esteemed Minister of Health, we had the opportunity to comprehensively discuss BİOSB's current situation and future vision.”
