Tuzla District Governor Ümit Hüseyin Güney visited the Biotechnology Valley project, implemented in Tuzla by BİYOSAD with an investment value of 4.5 billion dollars. Noting that biotechnology has become a strategic field today, Güney stated, “It plays a critical role in many sectors, including the defense industry, as well as health, agriculture, and food security.” Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİOSB and BİYOSAD, stated that the opportunities provided by the Biotechnology Valley offer great possibilities not only to investors but also to young people and entrepreneurs, adding, “Supporting developments in this field is vital for the future of our country.”
The Biotechnology Valley, one of Türkiye's largest investments in science and technology with a value of $4.5 billion, implemented by the Biotechnology Industrialists Association (BİYOSAD), hosted Tuzla District Governor Ümit Hüseyin Güney. Visiting the Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) to examine the ongoing work in the field of biotechnology, Governor Güney emphasized that projects like the Biotechnology Valley will make significant contributions to Istanbul's ecosystem and economic development.

Accompanied by Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİOSB and BİYOSAD, Güney, who conducted a field trip, stated that they attach great importance to Türkiye's development in the field of science and technology, saying, “Biotechnology is an important sector that will support our economy with innovative solutions in many areas such as health, agriculture, and the environment. We will do our best to support such projects.” Pointing out that the project offers a significant opportunity for the development of value-added products and contributing to exports in line with Istanbul's goal of becoming a global center of attraction, Güney said, “Biotechnology has become a strategic field in today's world. It plays a critical role in many sectors, including the defense industry, as well as health, agriculture, and food security.”
A step that increases Istanbul's economic and scientific potential.

A delegation from the Organized Industrial Zones Supreme Council (OSBÜK), consisting of members of the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, and High Advisory Board, as well as the presidents of Organized Industrial Zones operating in Istanbul, visited Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and Istanbul Chamber of Industry President Erdal Bahçıvan. Following these official visits, the delegation attended the Innovation Summit Istanbul 2024 event organized by Schneider Electric. The meetings focused on strengthening industrial cooperation and digital transformation.
